"Hi,forgive me for butting in, but firstly i am an athiest, agnostic or whatever it's called but i did a bit of reading up on the subject of different religions/beliefs (no i'm not saying i'm a specialist in this area) but it has been pointed out that thousands of years ago there wasn't any of the scientific proof that we have today i.e everything has a logical explanation, now i know someone is going to go down the line of ghosts on that matter but as i say way back then anything that couldn't be explained was down to a god, like when people first looked up at the stars and thought "where did they come from" or they started to become aware of all things around them they used to go to the sages, seers, prophets or whatever and they were so called because they were the first ones who gave an explanation by saying "a god put them there so we must appease the gods" the greeks were well known for this that's why in greek mythology there are so many gods and i suppose (probably shouldn't say that cuz someones gonna rip into me for it)someone realised it was easier to believe in just one god than many. D.R i hope i got your backin on this lol."

But anyway, what you said was pretty much true. Way back when people proably worshipped the sun because they had no idea what it was. Obviously, today we do.

But that or saying we have advanced in out intellect doesn't prove creation through evolution, because there are still missing links in the theory.

If everyone decided to beleive what they wanted to beleive or do what they wanted to do (outside of religion) this world would be in anarchy.

I say thank God for unity (in a non-metaphorical {if that's even a word} voice) because there is unity in the world. Whether it be the Catholic Church, or the USA...the unity in this world is keeping us from absolute chaos.

Sure the world is 'kind of' chaotic right now...in the Middle East....but compare that to a world with no unity as we do have today.

Ok, so your saying that eventually, mankind will be able to understand the miracles. Be able to understand, why, over hundreds of years of beeing buried, that some humans have shown no sign of decay...

Be able to understand why inanimate objects are able to weep tears of blood?

I don't think so...because there is a differnce between the above examples...and the sun.

Ok...I agree that people will never understand some things....understanding everything would mean to be a god.

Miracles...it really is up to the person...what he thinks is a miracle. In the past people considered a rain, fire, child being born a miracle...today we can explain these things.

Can any of us really say what is a miracle?
Are we to decide, or to say what in this world should be called a miracle? I think not. Because everything in this world is a miracle in its own way....

totally agree there cuz if u look at it another way for years scientists have tried in vain to invent a conetic engine and the only way they can run anything is either water energy or electricity or whatever but look at life we dont need batteries even though we produce electricity and only need food water and rest to recharge so in a way what we see every day is people might see as a miracle but some of us just see it as life but if you have ever seen a baby being born, i have now THAT IS a miracle

And here is one for all you people who say the world would be a better place if there was no religion.

Well can you imagine how that would work. People would kill and not have a extremely hard time after they died basically that means you can kill any one and only be scared of the law not a higher being not a life of hell simply just other people

and here is another one how peaceful would the world be if every one was under one religion one that said killing was bad etc the world would be A LOT more peaceful then if there was no religion so while yall see religion as a bad thing (and yes maybe it has caused some problems) i see it as a good thing cause it put fear to not do good things and it puts hope to do good things

Don't be silly. The people that are the most obedient citizens tend to be those that observe religious practices. (I'm not saying that non-religious people are criminals, what I'm saying is that if you took God out of the equation these people would still be nice people, probably nicer people.)

Hang on, what's the Pope got to do with a United Religion? Why the Pope and not a high ranking Islam or Hindu cleric? That's where the problem begins you see. No religion is going to have their power compromised, not even 'we're-better-and-more-peaceful-than-other-religions' Christianity.

1st how do you get that they would be nicer As well so you are trying to say that if there was no religion that people would not kill as much of course not the killings would increase no one would be scared of god cause they wouldn't think he existed

2nd i never said anything about the pope i just said a religion that said doing bad things are well bad As well i never said it was possible i just said i think it would be better then no religion

I have been brought up with no religon. I have not been told there is nor isn't a God while growing up. Therefore through my childhood i just haven't thought about it. But as i'm older i find myself honestly doubting the exsistance of God. I believe once we die that's it. Don't get me wrong i'd love to be wrong and find an afterlife- Or maybe reincarnation. But it is my personal belief that people are scared of being alone. They want to feel someone is watching over them so they let themselves believe in God. It's a huge reassurance. A saftey net if you will, to think that there is a higher power to perform micricles, and that even when you die you'll be ok.

Overall belief on churches and religous worshiping. I feel if there is a god then he/she wouldn't want so much money spent on his/her worship- The church has the highest income of all time (Correct me if thats a complete misunderstanding of mine). Surely if there was a God he (or she) would want that money spend on bettering peoples lives?
I know Churches help homeless ect. But the money could build factories and generate work ect in third world contries and help economies across the globe)

A blasphamy? Why would an all powerful God be offended what i say?

(These are just my views, i wouldn't want to cause any offence)
