Of course, Adobe Photoshop CS3 is slick as a baby's bottom, unfortunately there are a few catches...

First, the potentially crushing cost, usually about $649 for CS3 to $999 for CS3 extended, and worse yet CS4 is looming on the horizon (come on PS 64 bit! ) which will make the investment in CS3 all the more painful when it's usurped. If you plan to be a graphical artist or any related field which could obviously make use or even require photoshop, then you can likely get it gratis from your job, otherwise that's a fairly big chew to bite off simply to tinker with game textures.

Second, while Photoshop isn't particularly difficult to use, sometimes getting what you want out of it can be as some effects are either complicated to make happen just like you want, or simply tweaking only what you want exactly the way you want it may not be obviously presented to you, thus I highly recommend basic photoshop course(s) from your local technical college for a really good intro and even into advanced photo editing. (Those skills by the way can be VERY marketable, so the investment of time in those classes more than pay for themselves if you're ambitious)

The quality of the skins in kompendium mod for instance are really very high quality and to surpass that level of detail would not only take a considerable amount of time and research to investigate every minute nuance, but it would also require considerable knowledge of photoshop techniques and that doesn't even begin to start on the light/alpha maps.

Now introducing the fun of the Pantherturm!

The German bunker with a panther turret on top is now available to be built by all four factions, a new icon has been created (by yours truly) especially for it, and building costs/time have been given to it so that it is a more hefty a purchase than a normal axis bunker, but well suited to taking out a tank or two and light armored vehicles.

By putting it in the build options for Grenadiers (Panzer Elite), Pioneers (Wehrmacht/Axis), Engineers (Americans/Allies), and Sappers (British Commonwealth), now all four sides have considerable options for defensive positioning, but you also have to use your space wisely as they gobble up valuable real estate quickly.

At last you unleashed the fear i was expecting!
But can i ask why foe all factions? they are German warfare.
And about photoshop, thanks im planning some time for it.

Anyway im damn happy about the new edition man! i was really looking forward to it, now i have it!
I think its time for the mortar bunker,What do you think ?

I decided to make them available to all factions simply to even out the options. Not really to "balance" the factions, because that's WAAAAAAY out of reach, but more or less to at least give the allied factions an option in that regard.

Now added the coveted mortar bunker, with a newly created icon of its own, AND more importantly Panzer Elite Grenadiers now have full access to all of their doctrine based defensive buildings (Teller mines, barbed wire, tank traps) just like the Grenadiers when playing as the Wehrmacht. That discrepancy has irked me for a while now since the PE should obviously have at least the same access to their own abilities as an alternative faction should, so I figured I'd see to it that both were the same in that respect.

If you downloaded yesterday's version, please download again there were only a few of you that got it "on day one" though so it's not too bad and hopefully what you get in return makes the 2.68MB download (approx) worth it.

Thanks for your patience, the mortar bunker was particularly well hidden, as was the pantherturm, but the mortar bunker wasn't even named properly/clearly which made it just that much more hidden among all the numerous structures.

I've made the mortar bunker a good bit more expensive than the pantherturm because its range is rediculous and it fires in 5-shell volleys which fall pretty tightly bundled as far as mortar and artillery go, so it is thankfully pretty large structure so you're not going to build many as well

Anyway, enough of my mumbling, enjoy!
