Oblivion is full of glitches, even with the patches, once I was ambushed by this magician who came out of nowhere. He also killed my horse, so I got kiciked out of the guilds e.t.c So I never delete my saved games, it WORKS...

I hate when glitches happen. Like once a character didn't lose health when I hit him or when I casted spells on him. He did scream, but didn't lose health.

my games so messed up that i had to pull up the console and type kill on the king of worms because he could do damage to me, but my weapons had no effect (i mean it was like he wasnt there) and my spells went right through him

That's more c****y than my case, but in my case the Evil Cheydinhall High Elf ex-leader of the mages guild(Falcar was his name if I remember) got hit but didn't lose health from me(his minions did but he didn't). The funnything is that the Imperial Battlemages coud kill him.

Thats wierd, i havent had people where i cant kill them, but i have had things like random people trying to get me, and once i killed a scamp and i got kicked out all of the guilds.
