Aurora Features Requests Discussion

When I play Dave the Diver on Steam Deck with Aurora, I cannot switch between the two via the Steam button. The game always forces itself to be at the forefront. Changing the Aurora launcher settings to open in the foreground, background, etc., doesn't appear to get around it. I can only get around it through desktop mode and using a keyboard. Pressing the Windows key on the keyboard gets me out of the game's tight grip, showing the taskbar for me to switch to Aurora. You can't do that in game mode.

It's not a huge issue, but I am curious if others are experiencing the same thing.

Have you tried changing the game to windowed or borderless mode (in game menu)?

I've had this happen with Tekken 8 but I forgot what fixed it, I think it fixed itself for me. I'll let you know if I remember.

I noticed there was an update on the 4th, do you know if it was working after that?

The weird thing is when I load the game using experimental for example I change the settings to borderless. It doesn't seem to stay saved as I switched to another proton to test and the settings all reverted to default. So I assume when I switch to steam tinker its reverting back perhaps?? The thing is I can't even get the game to load to check it just autocloses right away

Well last time I played BG3 was probably in Jan when it worked fine. I just reinstalled for a new playthrough and that's when I've noticed it wont load no more. Thanks for having a think though.

I'm remembering now and using proton hotfix was the cause of the issue. For whatever reason when I used that everything will revert back as if I wasnt using STL or Aurora SDT. It only happened when I used proton hotfix. So I'm thinking your issue has something to do with using Proton Experimental. If you are having the same issue as I was then you cant load up STL since it keeps reverting back to using only proton and not STL. Sadly I don't recall how I fixed it. I think there's a way to look at the STL default settings but I don't remember where, maybe 0x90 knows.

Yes think its exactly that. You gave me a place to start looking. Has to be something in stl settings somewhere thank you.

Dave The Diver is interesting because they removed the ability to play in window mode as if they knew you guys had tricks up your sleeve 😂
