Introducing the CH Aurora SteamDeck Tool

Cheat Happens is proud to announce the release of our latest custom-made software, the Aurora SteamDeck Tool. This is a NATIVE Linux/SteamOS launcher that is specifically designed to make AURORA ten times easier to install and use on Valve's Steam Deck.

Still not convinced? We are currently in an OPEN BETA phase of the tool where anyone and everyone may download it and check it out.

In order to use this tool you must have a Cheat Happens member account (Link). In order to use all of the cheats in Aurora you will also need a Cheat Happens PREMIUM ACCOUNT (monthly or higher - Link). Please be aware that this is not some kind of universal launcher like SteamTinker. It has been specifically designed for use with our Aurora all-in-one trainer management software.

This thread will serve as an open discussion and troubleshooting for the app. We may open up a dedicated message board in the future.

Lastly, please understand that this tool is NOT REQUIRED to get Aurora up and running on the Steam Deck. We have instructions (Link), a video tutorial (Link) and helpful FAQ (Link) on how to do this on your own, however many users get tripped up on one or more of these manual tasks which is why we created this tool.

We truly hope this tool makes your experience with your Steam Deck and Aurora a much better one. It was a HUGE effort to bring this to market.

IMPORTANT:
As of Aurora v1.7.0, it is necessary to use the (currently experimental) Proton version 8 or higher (not shown in latest video).
Here is a quick guide:
Step 1: Update protonupqt
Step 2: launch it and remove steamtinker without removing the options you saved (it will prompt a message choose dont delete) and the proton version you have installed.
Step 3: install latest steamtinker and proton stable version
Step 4: in the steamtinker game menu under proton version choose: proton 8.0-1d
Repeat step 4 for all of the games.
All should be fine now.

The annoying error message on launch of Aurora can likely be avoided by unchecking 'Process watcher' in Aurora settings -> Misc.

Tried to follow this for Children of Morta but basically once the game launches the Aurora loses focus and you can't activate the trainer. The game isn't visible but it's still able to take exclusive use of the "mouse". I tried messing around with controller settings and switching the active window in the steam menu, but I couldn't find a solution. The game stays stuck in the background and Aurora covers it up but is not interactive.

Can you open the keyboard and press alt tab?
Can you launch the game first and see if you can set the game to run in window or borderless mode and/or unlock mouse?

If Aurora stays stuck covering it up you didn't follow the steps exactly, it's crucial to first check the option of "proton use winded3d" afterwards uncheck the option in Aurora which says "enable hardware acceleration" then close everything and run it again and uncheck the "proton use winded3d" option in the steamtinker menu.

Pretty sure I followed those simple steps perfectly.
Setting the game to windowed mode kinda helped -- Now I can log in and activate the trainer without issue. But, the Aurora window won't minimize or close to the tray -- it's stuck on top still. You can switch the active window in the steam menu and it seems like you can control the game, but it's still covered by Aurora.
Anyways don't worry about it until someone can confirm or we see a few more games with similar issues. I'll do some more testing with other games on my end too. I just wanted to give you guys a heads-up that there might be a few edge cases where things can go wrong.
