I'm having a similar error to one reported in an earlier post - attempting to activate the trainer leads to a 'Please wait' message and then 'Failed' about ten seconds later. The debug console on the trainer is showing the following:
22:01:39: Controller detected
22:01:39: Borderlands 3, 1.0.14 (STEAM/EPIC)
22:04:24: Successfully attached to Borderlands3
22:04:44: Collect Throwables, Script error in line 6: Cannot find aob for 'originalcode_6511'
The same error message is displayed when I try to activate the trainer ingame.
I have followed the instructions in CyPHeR369's last post, to no avail - the issue continues to recur. This is doubly frustrating because there were no problems earlier today ...
Happens at times when toons are swapped, play the game without the trainer and load each toon type you have and then quit the game. Then try it again after deleting the work folders and rebooting.
How to clean previous stored trainer data. Delete the folders listed or make your own batch file to clean them for you.

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.
This has definitely solved that issue but another seems to have cropped up - I cannot edit the number of backpack slots available; the value shown in the editor tab on the trainer is always ??.
As of this post, I am trying to see if altering the item count in my inventory by looting and selling items changes this ...
No, no joy - the value remains at ??. Everything else is working fine (the only other value showing ?? was the grenade count but this showed the correct value after tossing a grenade).
I can confirm the backpack slot option does not work just remains as ??.
No error messages and as far as i can tell everything else works.

Just curious - the trainer is working perfectly:
How come the trainer takes so long to attach to the game? It is just because there's more options than usual? It feels like it takes at least two entire minutes every time I boot it up, whereas every other trainer I've got attaches in ten seconds tops.
I seem to have stumbled upon the solution by accident.
After I cleared out a bunch of space on my HDD, the trainer started attaching much faster. Only takes a few seconds now.
