The way the exclusivity bit works grinds my gears. Epic was supposed to be the exclusive point of sale for Metro Exodus for a year as an example.

Now you can buy it from the Microsoft Store and it's also on sale via Humble. Just not on Steam where I personally prefer to get and manage the bulk of my games.

It's business to them but it's irritating to me. Grrr...

At the end of the day though.. We just want to play the games that are being released.. why have a gripe about what launcher it's on.. Personally I couldn't give two hoots about the whole exclusive deals ****.. I'm still going to go to wherever I need to buy the game and play it.

Agreed. I'm not letting this foolishness stop me from playing either.

Incorrect. I have been on EGS since the early days of the Unreal Tounament beta and never once have I had someone try to get into my account. The way this occurs is simple - you used the same password/username on a different site that was not secure, this information is recovered and used all over the place to try to access accounts. At least Epic is doing their part by notifying you of this activity. Steam has had many, many security breaches over the years. They had a pretty horrific one in December 2015 which exposed, by their own admission:

"included a Steam user’s billing address, the last four digits of their Steam Guard phone number, their purchase history, the last two digits of their credit card number, and/or their email address."

I am not saying I hate Steam or love EGS, just saying that people seem to have on beer goggles when it comes to Steam. They are not perfect.

For me...simply put...no game's worth opening a million accounts across so many different stores and increasing the risk of financial fraud. Already have accounts with Steam and Windows. So i'll wait.

It funny how people having issues with Borderlands 3 have to go to the Borderlands 2 steam forums to get community help.

Epic can go **** itself.

I bought the game directly from 2K, if from there, would you not assume they are getting all of the funds for it then?
