wonder if they will do what they did for Uplay games on steam which just basically lets u launch uplay from steam then the game u wanted 2 play

Epic is just a launcher as well. With shady business practices, full of false promises, missed deadlines, an app that you have to delete the webcache constantly for it to work right, and terrible support. They give the devs more of a cut, at the cost of the consumer. Hell, they weren't even going to give PC players a preload opportunity even though Xbox and PS4 had one, until they were called to the carpet on it. I preordered it off Humble Bundle, and I think I will stick with Steam, thank you.

...you do realize you bought an Epic key, right? Humblebundle.com bought the key from the Epic store and then sold it to you, so you just added a middle man. You still have to enter the key in the Epic launcher and use it to play the game...

I agree Steam needs some competition, but Epic's business practices have not been remotely fair or consumer-friendly. I'm waiting for a Steam release for this and a few other games. I've got a backlog. I'm good.

So unless a dev team decides to try and release and distribute a game without a publisher, the team will never see 100% of the product income (excluding obvious taxes)

I prefer steam myself as it has had time to refine it's features, but mostly because i would like to keep everything in one place for convenience, so seeing as 95%(ish) of my games are on steam it's makes the choice obvious for me

If you have 5-10 games on one platform i can understand if you don't really care, but some of us have hundreds on games on one platform, which makes it rather inconvenient to have yet another launch platform

basically i'm saying i'm passing on the epic store release.
