did you buy all the dlcs at once or one bye one when they came out? did the trainer work with the other dlcs?
Other than Yukon, the most recent trainers have had no issues - so you would *probably* be ok in that case. Although also note I'm not affiliated with CH in any way. I'm just a user who plays COTW and has been doing some investigation on my own prerogative trying to get it all figured out for my own benefit as much as others, so my reply is in no way any official statement, just based on my personal experience.
Even after buying Yukon, but without actually going to the reserve, the last two versions of the trainer worked through multiple launches of the game *for me*, but there are no guarantees with how convoluted this update has become.
Honestly if you take good shots, freeze animals isn't even really necessary, the superspeed loss is what hurts the most for me. 100% quick kill shots make sure they don't go far once shot, and hunting near need zones means animals are easy to find once you've zipped around a map and found them.
Well, I am flummoxed. But happily surprised. So for the heck of it, I played HCOTw this morning. Ran the newest CH trainer, ran the game. As a "test", I STARTED my game in a reserve other than the new Yukon DLC-reserve( I chose the savannah). ALL trainer options worked! INCLUDING frz animals and super speed. INCLUDING them! (these options had NOT worked with this trainer last night, when I last played the game...in ANY reserve).
THen...I loaded the Yukon reserve. And these 2 options WORKED...again! IN the Yukon reserve.
I had nothing different in my system, in Steam, in anything. SInce I last tried the game on my PC last night. BUt just now, the trainer's options are ALL working with the HCOTW game, so I removed my update request.
I can't think it's anything BUT the fact that I chose to start the game up in a different reserve than YUkon. I basically chose NOT to "CONTINUE" the game, but chose a different reserve instead to start the game up, after running the trainer. If it's a coincidence, then so be it. But from now on, I will make sure to start my game up in an older reserve FIRST.
It worked for me,so will it work for others? Not sure. But for now...the trainer works everywhere if I run the game thusly: don't START the game w/ Yukon reserve. Start in an older reserve.
I just tried this and can confirm it works!

Wierd, but thanks for figuring this out!
Good to know. I'll update the notes in the game to reflect this at some point.
best,
