Trainer works fine, there's just some strange problems on my end.
Tried to re-enable Internet Explorer through Windows Features On/Off. It wasn't even there anymore, so I figured I may have gutted some major windows components at some point so who knows what's wrong with my image.
Installed an offline installer of IE 11, put it back, let windows do some updates. It's working fine now. I realize this makes zero sense, and I know now SmartScreen is the built in Win8 + phishing/malware filter and not the same as the one in the IE browser, but I had some crazy problem years ago where all my trainers would crash when I tried to open them and uninstalling IE 10 somehow solved the issue.
The moral of the story is Windows is stupid, and I'm even dumber than that.
Let me tell you one thing: You're not dumb.
And about IE 10, Windows 7 and crashing trainers we put up a step-by-step solution a couple of years ago which is still valid.

This was very interesting. It sort of makes sense now. I didn't realize the where the missing link was with IE and Windows at a process level while it's not even running.
Stupid sexy urlmon.dll.
Thanks again for your help.
This is the error I am receiving:
Time Message
3:01 PM Trainer version: 1.27
3:01 PM Error at #health: Cannot find AOB
Please verify that our latest trainer matches the latest stable game release. Is this error repeatable? What trainer options did you use? Are you running any mods?

Well, I realize that you don't support the Experimental Builds, so you can ignore me. Sorry about that.
Submitted trainer update request; I do not mind loosing 500 points if I am wrong but 75% of the time the game crashes when using the trainer when using inf health, water & food or when using easy crafting.
Not sure when the subnautica update was but I suspect the was a hotfix at some point (the normally is). Just posting this here to see if anyone else if having similar issues.
At least this update on June 21 might have broken certain trainer options (again) -> Link
