Just finished the main quest... The ending felt kind of disappointing again, but other that that I liked this expansion.

it is good but it is not finished, it seems many things were left unfinished.

I had the expansion yesterday played it, with a character who completed the original story and a new character, both were short.
The story didnt really differ much, only if you kept Anders from the start or told Ogrhim to bugger off.
Other than that, no story continuation and no real replayability, not worth the £15 I paid for it. Its more a big DLC pack than an expansion to be honest.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

Very good: the expansion is cheap enough and it gives you several hours of gameplay. Its not perfect, needs a few patches to clear some things up but overall i enjoy it. It does seem reasonably flexible with 1.03 mods too, however some have run into issues.
Of course you have speed demons that just run right through things and then miss side quests. Cant make everyone happy though. They also stated NONE of the DLC items will transfer from your toon to the expansion toon, so make sure you prepare your character appropriately. Instead of giving you armor, (say if your using the DLC wardens keep and that awesome keep armor) they just strip your char of armor and do not replace it, so ya start with no clothing. *shrugs* Its frustrating but a mod has already fixed the problem, or just remove all DLC items from your toon and make sure you have standard clothing/armor on.
Its nothing like the Savegame import feature from ME2, i have yet to see a spot where your decisions from DAO had really any reflection on the expansion. Maybe some intros and dialogue but this is really just a side story about the wardens keep, Not DAO2.

You (Dark Dragon) are talking about the original DA, not the awakening expansion Still - I think I must have done exactly the same as you with the original.
It's quite a shame that this highlights what is lacking in the sequel. It was quite good when my "hubby" (Alister) showed up, and introduced himself as such - so I thought a lot of the story would have been carried from the first game. Unfortunately that is about it so this turns in to a rather large "side mission" pack, with no ability to romance or properly interact with characters outside the keep (well, you sort of can by clicking on various objects). In fact, that probably detracted most from the experience for me, as I remember feeling very annoyed that you couldn't get in a sordid lesbian love affair with... oh never mind!!!
A lot of the moral decisions seem a lot less clear cut - but this unfortunately made the "Hero of Feralden" look like she didn't know what she was doing. It's a shame some of the replay value will be in making sure certain things don't come to pass.
(Sort of spoilers - you've been warned)
Despite all this, I still enjoyed it though. The story is reasonable enough (in my opinion anyway), and the ending? Well, it ranks as one of the grossest in my book. But also as the most confusing - I thought everyone 'somewhere' had died, then it turns out they had not. Eh?! Can't say too much else, sorry!
Wish there was a longer story though... A lot of the side quests feel extremely auxiliary to the story.
8/10 - nowhere near perfect, but I was happy with what £20 got me.
