the purpose of this competition was to see who had the best avatar in the opinion of CHU....not who has the most friends.

No matter what happens theres always going to be an element of popularity.

And i think some people did treat it like one, but what can you do?

Should get a panel of neutral judges to decide who wins from the top five.

Yup exactly as I said a couple of posts ago a lot of people with great avis didn't get votes cause they don't have as much friends here as others

I agree with the "neutral judges" part of von's post.
I've noticed in some of the votes that they were mainly "Oh, you voted for me? Then I'll vote for you!" votes.

And you're doing an amazing job w/ the whole avatar thingy dstates. If you need some help, I should be available soon. x)

You guys actually care that much about a contest... All this does is show who has a great avatar.. so what if people vote for friends only it is the internet.... You all are ruining something many people look forward to... If you all wanted it to be run that way why didn't you do this yourself before he did.

There should be something like hidden vote system, where nobody see who voted.(except mods or something like that)

Yup thats a great idea we just see the results but thinking of a way to do it seems pretty hard

What I did was I didn't notice some user's avatars until after I've posted.
