I absolutely agree with you about the "patch it later"... But still, i don't regret that much that i've purchased the game (fundamentaly , when you remove the technical problems, it's a great game)
vosszaa : i haven't find anything and as OuTLaWOwns said, it's memory leak (and btw Outlaw,it's also a first for me to hear about video memory leak...the game relay too much on video memory...(and cpu))

Thank you very much guys for the effort here. I really appreciated.
About the memory leak problem i think we have to wait for the patch(i have no idea how long its gonna be) And btw, its not that my pc has insufficient resource for sure(as i run a very very high end system). It seem the problem is with the game itself. Sigh.. shame on u R*

Absolutely, in fact it's even worst for some high end computer! (like with your X2) I hope that "memory fix" they are talking about concern those video memory problem (i don't have that problem (i've got a nvidia) but after some time, due to that memory leak, objects dissapear)

Well, with ati 8.12 beta and still no success, i dont know how can i trust officially 8.12 anymore.
Even R* said they gonna release patch in a next few days but what if it doesnt fix it?
Will my $100 go to waste?
It just sad... really sad

I have GeForce 8800GTX, I used to get crashes with RESC 10 error once in a while when I press esc for menu. update the driver solved the problem once and for all

The fatal error resc10 is very random on my machine, the last two days i played crashfree, then suddenly when doing a mission i get a fatal error, i dont think it has anything to do with video memory the way it crashes.
i checked the release note for the beta driver and it doesnt fix anything for gta IV, we need to wait for a proper driver from ati.

I regret shelling out $50 for the game. I'm also experiencing the resc10 error every time I press the ESC key in game.
