agreed. We haven't had a single good topic in months. The only worthwile ones are by Isom or some other oldie member.

If so, I'll say it again-

Consider yourself to be a Father of a young boy. Metaphorically speaking, you are God and your child is mankind.

Now, you also KNOW that that child will eventually fall and scrape his knee, bleed, cry and be hurt, so why let him? You know that this hardship will fall upon him, so KNOWING that this will happen, why would you not prevent this from happening?

The answer is because you love your child. As God loves us and all he wants is our love in return as you would also want your child's love in return.

no, that makes no sense to me...that would be the reason why god allows you to go through hardships in life, but burning in hell for eternity is on a completely different level

Personally, I'm not regious, I don't believe in anything, but I do not judge someone, if they do.
