Step 1: Update protonupqt
Step 2: launch it and remove steamtinker without removing the options you saved (it will prompt a message choose dont delete) and the proton version you have installed.
Step 3: install latest steamtinker and proton stable version
Step 4: in the steamtinker game menu under proton version choose: proton 8.0-1d
Repeat step 4 for all of the games.
All should be fine now.

Doing whole machine restart does the same thing. No need for deleting/installing.

I’m not able to click on anything when aurora is opened on steam deck in game mode. It loads and login but once my game loads I can’t click on anything in the aurora menu.

@Quake: Is this on 1.7.0 ? The error you get has the following description: "An unknown, invalid, or unsupported option or level was specified in a getsockopt or setsockopt call". Which is typical if the underlying system isn't configured properly (or misconfigured). Now that on Steamdeck is just a Windows emulator Aurora is running in, it's a bit hard to say what's the culprit. You could try a different proton version?

I was wondering if a setting could be setup in a text .cfg file to make aurora start by default with hardware acceleration turned off, so we have to don't have to do this weird thing of forcing Direct3d on in Steam or Epic and then turning it off in the settings, but since each game has their own container we have to do this for every game and HGL(Heroic Game Launcher) especially dislikes this. I think it would be nice to just have a text line we can change to cause it to default to this other then having to try and mess with this for every game. There is a lot of people starting to use Aurora on Steam Deck and for me I use it in Linux Mint. Not sure how hard this might be to set but it would likely help people on Linux a lot.
