Aurora Bug Reports Discussion

hello i am unable to update aurora for some reason, started playing up few days ago, it says when loading up "downloading update" then a error message says "check log" which i attached is this a bug or something wrong, any info would be great.

there is nothing attached to the post, please sure to zip the log file so you can attach it

No log added to your post.
However I suggest you delete the folder which you have extracted aurora in and redownload it. Usually this will fix any issue related to updates not going.

Like it says, connection to www.ch-downloads.com timed out. VPN? AV? Unstable internet? You can try doing a ping to www.ch-downloads.com and see if generally fails.

internet is fine weirdly only started happening few days ago, nothing new been happening, anti-virus & all the other stuff is off, checked it today got the same problem.

& ping report says destination port unreachable

As 0x90 mentioned, connectivity needs to be verified and make sure DNS resolves correctly.

This should resolve to 104.25.2.55 and DNS queries are working. I'll assume this is the case because you wouldn't be able to post otherwise. Trying to ping www.ch-downloads.com:433 would generate an error message.

To verify if a port is open, the TELNET client needs to be installed. To do this, type control panel on the bottom-left search bar. Select "Programs" and on the left side, select "Turn windows features on or off". When the box appears on the right, scroll down to Telnet client. Select it and press okay.

Run the telnet client within Command Prompt.

telnet www.ch-downloads.com 443
No colon between com and 443, just a space. This should give you a blinking cursor. Press Ctrl-Q to exit. So, that verifies you have connectivity to the port 443.

If it doesn't connect, that's why Aurora is failing. If it does connect, reinstalling Aurora may help.

thx it kinda fixed it, i am able to update, But now it won't download anything on cheathappens had to find a link from a 2020 post for a link for aurora
