I have the same problem. My workaround is to do a right click on the aero peek preview to get the context menu and there I click on maximize, now I see Aurora on my main monitor. Every time when I close Aurora it's maximized on the second monitor.
I also have a multi monitor setup. Main monitor (HDMI): 2160p with 200% scaling and secondary monitor (DP): with 1080p and 100% scaling. The secondary monitor ist on the left side, also in the windows settings and I don't use 3rd party tools.
Also Aurora doesn't stay on the secondary monitor if I minimize the window. When I click on the taskbar symbol Aurora pops up on the main monitor.
I tried the suggestion to set the scaling of the 2160p monitor to 100%. After that Aurora starts normally again, then also on the second monitor. When I minimize the window it stays on the second monitor when I maximize it again. But this is not a solution for a mixed monitor setup.

Wow, I totally didn't understand a single part of that. 😬
Alright well I think I found a solution. Main issue was that when clicking on the app icon in the taskbar after login, there was no visible window, although the app was running.
In order to see Aurora, I had to snap another app to one side of my screen. Doing this triggered the option to select another app to snap to the opposite side of the screen. From here I selected Aurora, which then allowed me to see the app.
I do have multiple monitors, so this might be what caused the issue. I'm not sure though.

I had the exact same issue also have multiple monitors and doing as you said also fixed it for me. So at least from an initial guess perhaps dual monitors is interfering with how the app displays initially after log in.
