    I am writing this from TM1 since I realized that I have trainers in my folder that are showing up and working perfectly fine in this program but when I switch to TM2 not all of the trainers show up. If I link steam then it just shows them as not installed even though they are in the G:\Trainers folder.

    GM1 is on Drive F:
    GM2 is on Drive E:
    Trainers are all in G:
    This way they are not installed in the same location.

    We could do a TeamViewer session to look at it closer and see what might be going on if you want. Just open a support ticket.

    Look for this line in settings.json (open with notepad or similar)

    "TrainerDirectories": [
    "E:\\stuff\\test folder",
    "E:\\stuff\\test folder 2"
    ],

    Make sure the paths in the quotes are correct. Then delete the Trainers.json file and restart the manager.

    Still does not work for me in version 2.0.7 with two error messages.
    I have only one account on this Windows 10 (microsoft account)

    1. Does not have write rights if I run it with the user account
    Capture Error Message : Link

    2. Does not have write rights if I run it in administrator mode
    Capture Error Message : Link

    Folders, files had 'authenticated users' rights, I turned everything into 'PC\Users' and the same results.

    Note I got it to run by doing this:

    Changing the PC\Users group permissions to have write access (full access in my case--I'm the only human that uses this machine.) Authenticated users had full access before, but that is being ignored it seems.

    Also I have to run it as administrator now (which makes sense if it is checking security permissions.)

    Before 2.0.7 I did not have to run it as administrator and it worked fine.

    Anyway, hopefully this helps anyone else that runs into this problem.

    Previous post below:

    I'm getting "The Trainer Manager has no write permission" error too after the 2.0.7.

    It seems this feature is not working as intended (from the change log):

    [~] Instead of checking for TM is readonly it now checks if either any user (if running evaluated) or current user can write to the folder

    That error message seems to say it failed... Maybe give an option to disable that check (or revert or something?)

    I know absolutely that that folder it is in is writable and not being messed with by AV or anything.

    For now I can use the old TM 1 (or just manually get and run trainers.)

    So, I have done a clean install and made some security changes to the folder that TM-2.0 is installed in. I have no error messages, or issues in that respect. I understand that as of now we have to download and manually move trainers into the manager because it is not able to download perform this action on its own and we can't change the path it downloads to. All of these are minor issues that will be corrected in time. However, with the changes, and the reinstall I am able to see all but one single trainer in the TM-2.0 interface. The Fable-Aniversary trainer shows up in my TM-1.0 client with no cover art and says no version detected. But it is MIA in the 2.0 Client.

    Originally it was AC Valhalla, Fable Anniversary, Firefighting Sim, and Mech Mechanic sim that were no where to be found. After changing the security and reinstalling the client, it updated itself, and all the other titles appeared now with full artwork. Fable is the only one not on the list.. Any ideas?

    I doubt very much that it will be getting an update since I am pretty sure the game hasn't been changed since '14. The trainer works and all, just not through the 2.0 client. While not ideal, could I use a shortcut on the desktop to the trainer file directly or does it need to be launched through the trainer manager?

    Fable is missing the number to link it to the data base, may need to been added/corrected in the future. You can run it right from the folder or a shortcut for now, does not need to be run through the manager. All trainers can be run on their own.
