Also try trainers #2 and #3. I guess the game from the Humble monthly is only the standard version with no DLC. Have 2 testers with the Humble choice game, they are going to look at it for me. I was told there is no way to select the Epic key once you claim a Steam key.

There was an option to get an epic key, however once we chose a platform the other option was removed.

I have tested the #2 and #3 versions of the trainer and they also do not recognize the game is running.

Possible working solution is to just buy the DLC in Steam and turn it into a true Ultimate version, Tester verified trainer activates with game and all DLC installed. Also for both dx11 and dx12

PM'd Caliber, to see if renaming the game exe will help with no DLC installed.

From what I know, renaming Control.exe to Control_DX12.exe on those that only have 1 executable does allow the trainer to activate and to work. I'm surprised nobody simply tried it, it only takes a minute.

Keep an eye on your savegames though, it could be that the game stops saving and corrupts the data. But that could be unrelated.

Also reporting that the latest trainer seems to work fine on the GOG version. I got a bit confused with the typo in the name though (01-23-2011 versus 01-23-2021), as well as the versions displayed on the trainer window. But it seems to work so far.

Next up, I'll be testing the hex edit to enable the PlayStation exclusive outfits and side-quest. The addresses appear to be identical to the Steam version. Finally the savegame editor to get those special resources and make me some super-modded guns.

I only have time to play it once, so I want to get as much out of it as possible.

How do you know if you have the DLC anyway?

Caliber said the trainer is looking for Control_DX11.exe|Control_DX12.exe so try renaming the control.exe to one of those and try the latest trainer.

You would have to look at Manage My DLC tab in Steam to see if you own it or what ever the equivalent is on Epic.

I also got the game from HumbleBundle on steam. I bought the season pass but the trainer still does not see the game. Buying the season pass does not add the Control_DX11.exe and Control_DX12.exe executables.

I tried renaming the exe to Control_DX12.exe, when the game starts initially the trainer sees it correctly, but as soon as the initial publishers screens are finished the game restarts itself using the Control.exe executable.

I tried with steam in offline mode but that doesn't change anything.

I also tried adding a symlink to Control_DX12.exe (mklink Control.exe Control_DX12.exe), that fools Steam, the game does not restart itself, but the trainer cannot activate:

09:18:24: Successfully attached to Control_DX12
09:18:25: Collect Currency, Script error in line 3: The module name '$process' does not exist!

Same thing with Control_DX11.exe

Short of re-buying the game on one of the original platforms for which the trainer is supported and the suggestions above I am out of ideas.
