I can't seem to download the latest version of the trainer, I click to download the 1.23.2011 version but after the file finishes and I unzip it, its just the previous version 0.0.342.3783 EPC 0.0.342.9734 STM. The old version does not recognize the current game and thus can't be used but no matter how many times I try to download the current version it just isn't the right file.

No idea what it did, does the game version still match on Steam?

It looks like they split the game into 2 versions. The standard edition is DX12 only.
People who bought Ultimate Edition get these files:

I got the Ultimate Edition through Humble Bundle/Steam, I only have one control.exe and trainer can't find game.

Hello, same as Kitaab, Trainer cannot find game.
I have the same HumbleBundle version, but as is it stated on the HB site, it shows as the Ultimate version, but it's the standard version.

Same here, I own Control on epic and their was no issue using this trainer

Then I got it from the HB and decided to replay, on the choice it does note it as standard edition and on steam it notes it as Ultimate edition, but I also only have the one file

I tried starting it up with the -dx11 parameter but it didn't help, don't know if anyone has any other ideas ?

Also just to note on their own website under support they do note this is how it is meant to be and only effect steam users.

Ok so I understand now that its the right version, but the version number shown on the trainer is different. Like others have posted now, my version came from the Humble Bundle and is the standard version despite being listed as ultimate. This and well as the file difference that another user stated may explain why the trainer isn't working, so not sure if an older trainer would work or if a new version of the trainer will be required for the HB steam version.

Can everyone who got the game from HumbleBundle with a Steam key and are getting the cannot find game error please report it. Thanx.

Also did it just offer a Steam key or did it also give an Epic one? And has anyone tried the trainer with the Epic key if it did give you one?
