Tom Clancy´s Ghost Recon: Wildlands Message Board  

I played the game a couple of days ago and used the trainer with no issues. Then i tried it again today and when I try to load the trainer i get this message.

File Identification Result:
Cool File Viewer analyzed the contents of this file and matched it to the following file type: Win64 Executable (generic.
It seems Cool File Viewer could not open this file correctly, maybe the file is damaged. Would you like to contact support for more help?

Cool file is a program that just opens and reads what's inside an archived file, trainers cannot be run this way, you need to extract it first. Sounds like you have selected it as the default program to run the trainer if you did extract it., If so, reset your windows apps.

Thanks for you quick reply, I did that and now when I click on it i get a box pop up asking me how I want to open this file and is directing me to windows store.

That is usually due to the trainer/launcher not added to security software exclusion lists.

Extract trainer and make sure trainer/launcher/editor is in a folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed or set anything trainer related (paths and EXE's) to ALLOW. Disable any Live/Active/Real-Time tools which may trigger false positives in security software which may terminate the game/trainer when it's activated or options used.

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens

may need to be added to exclusions as well. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again.

Note: Exclusions may need to be added to both Widows Defender and any 3rd party software you use.

Turns out it was Webroot having a fit and was blocking all trainers so deleted it and now everything is working as it should. Thanks for all the advice 🙂

I just wanted to say thanks for this awesome trainer. I've been using it for a couple of months now, and it has been working pretty d@mn well. (For me, it works in Fallen Ghosts as well as the main campaign. I can't speak for Narco Road; given the reviews, I'm not sure I could ever justify paying any amount for it.)

I love the teleportation options. Drone-teleportation is especially cool and way more versatile than it initially seems. The other teleportation method is a bit unpredictable for me (it can land me quite far, up to 300m, from my waypoint) but that could be user error, and, regardless, it's more than worth the quirkiness.

At the end of the day, this trainer does more than I expected, and it does what it does very well.

Having downloaded the trainer and followed all instructions to the letter, I cannot get the game to load. Most attempts simply result in the game crashing in the background without warning; other times it simply spins on an initial loading screen indefinitely. I can't even get to activating the trainer because it never reaches the main menu. As soon as I put the original game exe back it runs without issue. Is there any solution to this that anyone is aware of?

Done some reading and this seems to be a known issue with this. I chaged over the rungame.exe and have Ubisoft Connect offline. Is this looking for UPLAY instead of Ubi Connect??

If yes -- Will that be something that becomes offered for this game??

If not, I will simply have to look elsewhere for this game as I have had to do with others.

EDIT -- No idea what happened but, I redid the step of replacing the rungame.exe and restarted my system... SEEMS to work ok for now. Maybe something went slightly wrong in the initial replacement process... *shrugs*
