I have both of the linked dotnets installed.

I don't have the afterburner installed, but I do have MSI appmanager and MSI Live Update installed. Could those also affect it? Granted I had these disabled on Clean Boot.

Yeap, Pwiz always suggests turning those off or uninstalling them if you're having issues.

Found the corrupted file. Even replacing it and re-registering doesn't solve the problem though. I've got some kind of issue in the registry I think.

vcruntime140_clr0400.dll

After clearing the WU cache and running a full update check, sfc started finding a problem with this file that it didn't before. Doesn't make any sense to me why this would occur, shrug....

If I can't find the mixup in the registry quickly, I'll just format and reinstall the OS.....

That's a sizable chore. Sorry I don't have any other suggestions.

You think that's what's causing the trainer issues? Are your other trainers working?

You could ask Pwiz if they would do a TeamViewer session with you. Like hold off the format and see if they might come up with something else.

I was just reading another user that said his trainers didn't work until he ran sfc / scannow a 2nd time. Go figure.

I wish I knew what it was I needed to do to run it as well.
Same issue, the little splash opening then immediately closes and does nothing. All Antivirus off and I don't having any extra programs.

No idea what you guys are talking about sfc of scan whatever. If anyone has a confirmed work around for the failure to launch please let me know.

Have all of the following installed.

.NET Core Current Runtime x86 Link
.NET Core Current Runtime x64 Link
.NET Framework (get latest) Link

(Both x86 and x64 of the .Net Core MUST be installed)

Reboot PC when done.

I'm getting the "Cannot find aob!" error, but I'm launching the game in Steam VR mode. Trainer is working for me in "flat" mode.

Any way to get the trainer to work in Steam VR?

So I'm running into the same issue and I tried PWizards fix but the trainer is still opening and then closing right away. I couldn't find a cause for it in my event viewer logs either. Did you ever find a fix?
