I had the same symptom. Check your virus scanner. When I first ran it, the trainer gave a false positive as a trojan and I had to allow it to get it to run.

The trainer gives the 'Customized for..' window, then goes away. Nothing else happens. No process is running.

I've re-installed the 2 dotnets above and ran repair on all the others.

AV is shut down.

I think I have a corruption somewhere in dotnet, but I've reinstalled them all so not really sure how to find the problem.

AV is shut down or uninstalled? Some have a Real Time scanning component running in the background even when it's disabled.

Create an exclusion for the trainer's exe file to test that. Reboot and try again, running As Admin.

It caught it the first time. I allowed the exe. The fact that it blocked it in the first place is odd since I have an exclusion set up for the folder with the cheathappens exes.

I turned off AV and real time protection to try again, yet that's when it started just not opening.

exe is set to run as admin.

I deleted the exe and re-downloaded the file. Same result. The customized window pops up and goes away, and then nothing else.

Yeap, that's puzzling.

That so reminds me of when I was trying to play one of the Tomb Raider games several months ago but it just wouldn't launch. I had exclusions on several levels of folders while I was experimenting but nothing worked. And trainers *always* work for me. Heh, riiight.

Finally in desperation I made an exclusion for the Trainer's Exe itself and Bingo! She popped and ran fine ever since. With all the folders I had excluded it just made no sense but I'll be dipped if that didn't do the job. Wiz and I talked about it but we just couldn't figure it.

The lesson from that day, and a coupla others since then, was sometimes you just have to try different things until something pops. What works for one game, or 2 or 20, doesn't necessarily guarantee they'll all work, all the time.

Ok, finally getting somewhere.

I performed a clean boot by disabling all 3rd party services. I was able to get an error this time.....the awesome 0xC0000142 error. From times past I knew this was mostly likely a corrupted system file. In this case the culprit would appear to be a .net dll.

sfc /scannow nor DISM fixed the issue, so I'm now searching the registry for bad calls. This could take awhile.....

Well, that's something, at least.

You're not by chance running MSI afterburner or RivaTuner are you?

You have both of these installed, yah?
