Total War: Rome 2 Discussion
Trainer Tools and Resources
I feel sorry for Caliber because he is going to have to update the trainer every Friday for the next Six months. I hope CA gets sued for this.
I also regret buying this.
Yep (though I think it's technically version 4). Current game version is build 6910454248. Cal will probably knock one out on Monday, because he's a really nice guy. Current schedule is likely to be new trainers on Fridays to match CA's update schedule, but don't expect the guys to blow off their weekend to deal with 2 patches on the same day (that's three patches in two days, mind you). While I'd like to say an open beta could have helped, I played the Company of Heroes 2 beta and that was a patch/hotfix disaster. I think CH put out 20 trainers before release for that one.
Anyway, this is a good time to take a look at some of the mods available for the game, and build your own if you're so inclined (it's pretty easy, and there's plenty of tutorials). The PFM (Pack File Manager) can read quite a few tables now, and there's been some cool mods released on the TWC and the TotalWar forums. If you desperately need more gold/skills/etc., take a look at EditSF. It's been covered multiple times in the first 10 pages of this thread.
If we keep the whining to a minimum, the CH team may come in on Monday rested and ready to build some trainers. If the whining gets out of hand, it severely diminishes their drive to keep working on this game, and they might even discontinue it - so be patient, and let them enjoy their weekend.
Dont regret. this game is awesome. and im sure cal is gonna update the trainer, cuz hes the man.
It will be ready when it's done. Pestering the dev team for ETAs will only delay their work.
