You mean closing the browser and relogging to download?

Yes, I've tried that along with deleting all of my browser's cache and cookies prior to logging in again.

This problem had happened with the previous version of CoH 2 trainer as well. I had to retry forever to download the damn thing.

This message keeps popping up whenever I try to download the trainer.

You got any download accelerators installed(i.e. Bittorrent, DAP)??

if you have try to disable them..

Clear all browser cache and cookies. Disable/uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software including browser addons and third party apps. Lower browser security. Try different browser.
