If you have Defender and SmartScreen set up that way the trainer should work. So the only conclusion I have is that there is some other software interfering and shutting down the trainer.

Should you have Windows 10 already updated to the Fall Creator version (v1709) please make sure that you use the default settings for Controlled folder access in the Defender Security Center (Virus & threat protection) and Exploit protection (App & browser control).

Other then that it could be online banking software or add-ons, some backup software running in the background, 1-Click tools, even driver software for mouse or keyboard or anyything else that monitors your PC's installations.

Hi guys. I am planning on getting this collection today. Before I proceed, does the latest Trainer still work with Origin version of collection? I read that Trainer is "On Hold". Thoughts and help greatly appreciated

The trainer still works but there are a certain situations that make people reporting the trainer over and over again, that's why we decided to put it on hold as we cannot take a look on 20 years old games over and over again which needs a lot of effort to run on our machines.

Example of the situations:
- Infinite health causes a crash on suicide units. My recommendation: deactivate infinte health if you really have to use such a unit, otherwise avoid using these units.
- Crashes in campaign at mission X/Y/Z while using X/Y/Z option. My recommendation: Dont use the option that leads to a crash on a specific mission. I don't have the time to test all +20 trainers on all +20 games on all thousands of campaign missions.
- Around 80-90% of reports I wasn't able to reproduce at all but it always took me time to take a look at them.

None of all CC games in the collection require internet connection for singleplayer.

I have used this trainer in the past with no issue. It's been awhile and figured I would play some Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour. When I activate the trainer the sound "Activated" is like on a non-stop loop and then the game crashes. I have never seen this behavior and can only hope that its a update that Origin has done and im not insane. lol
