I poured my cereal without checking to see if we have any milk. We didn't.

i stepped on a lego, and in my anguish i did my one-foot-jumping-around-in-pain dance...and proceeded to step on the same lego with the other foot.

Rookie mistake! Better than having a few mouthfuls of milk only to realise its off and slightly lumpy

Tangled cables.
I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception.

What I'm dealing with at the moment is a food shortage, as panic buyers have besieged the local Sainsbury's every morning for almost two weeks now. So by the time I get to the store, all their bread and milk is gone.
The snow alone is getting on my nerves, every morning I have to climb outside the first floor window and clear the snow from my front door. And that's just to prevent myself from being snowed in.
The community has also voiced it's concerns that with all the rain and snow lately, that their afraid that the nearby river is going to overflow and flood us in. That's if the dams don't break first, their already buckling witch pressure cracks and freezing temperatures.
Though if the weather wasn't bad enough we're also under thread from Atheist and Environmental Activists. The former allegedly burned down the local protestant church, which doubled as a Nursery/Community Center, luckily it happened at night when it was closed. The latter continue to impede the transport of petroleum by means of blockading local stations, and continued rallies up and down the High Street and at the Community Hall have cause countless traffic jams.
Oh, and how could I forget, due to all the snow blocking the roads and my garden, the Domestic Cleaning Company has told me that the services they provide have been suspended, and won't be available until the weather clears up and the snow melts. So I've been 12 days without a maid, and I ran out of clean dishes four days ago. Now I'm using the fancy silverware from the dinning room cupboard, but even it is almost used up. If the worst comes, I could always buy new dishes until the weather clears up and the maids return and clean my dirty dishes... But it seems so far away, I don't know if I can hold on.
