There will be no attempts to remove the cheater flag. If you don't want to be flagged, then DON'T CHEAT. Accept consequences for your actions.
I understand it wont be provided here and I agree 99%... there are still situations (that 1%) in which I think its rather unfair:
Joining a game, hosted by a cheater, and receiving an item: CHEATER! (by your statement, I guess you need to play solo 100% as even if YOU dont cheat, prepare to get the flag if you trade ANYONE who doesnt join a game YOU host!)
Cheating in SOLO aka SINGLE PLAYER*, and having all your INTERNET character's being flagged as CHEATER's as well (IIRC, this was fixed in the latest patch, but dont quote me)...
That being said, I cant see a way to verify the situations and allow the flag to be removed... This must be what those who push for aggressive DRM go through, except I can care less about the woes they face (especially as a paying customer)
*Other sub-situations here include using a Single Player character to test equip/skill builds, and consequently not clearing everything after using an alternate save file to test out equipment/skill build's, and blindly using the MOVE instead of COPY function thus loosing a backup of a CHEATER-less save file, there are probably many more, but its a moot point after-all...
Anyone else got the malware warning when downloading the editor?
Gen:Variant.Symmi.1420
Is this a false positive?
Yup false positive. Always exclude trainers , editors made by cheathappens, because we know they make no virus containing crap like a lot of those youtube funny guys do, the way i do it, i am using avira free antivirus, i make a folder , which i exclude in the realtime scanning part of avira, as well as in the scan part, then i put the trainers, editors, in that folder.
I am also using malware bytes antimalware, which also has a ignore list , in where you can put trainers, editors.
