A templar spin-off does make sense though, especially since (at least this is what I felt through AC2 and Brotherhood) you're fighting the Templars, but you're never given a reason why, other than they want this object to rule the world... but why? How did they find out, what's their motivation, how have they accomplished all of this, etc etc.
But this is slightly derailing the topic =P.
As for the game, I get the feeling this is going to be along the lines of Alpha Protocol and Marmite... you either love it or you hate it. I liked the little I played, so I'll buy it when Steam stops being ghey, but I'll wait for the trainer before that.
That finished Ezio's story when Spoiler:
Yes, I know there's Brotherhood =P And I haven't finished it yet, so thanks for putting the spoiler tag in. If you check out the cover of the latest Game Informer mag (you can see it on the site), the cover is the next Assassin's Creed game, and my point was it looks a whole lot like Ezio.
EDIT: Bahh they are using all 3 characters...
Older Altair (probably his journey West to Fiorentina)
Here is a shot of Altair's face.

Yep. The the next game will take place in Constantinopole/Istanbul during different timelines. And feature both Altair and Ezio.
@iKytez: If everyone were to base their decisions of buying a game based on who made it, no one would be buying any games based on past performance. Imagine if no one had bought Fallout: New Vegas because the dev was Obsidian?
