I can't stand the driving though. A crash can kill you, that puts such a limit on what I'm now willing to try behind the wheel. In GTA I would try anything and everything in the middle of missions and that makes it fun but this will just kill the fun of driving. This is the wrong kind of realism for a video game. If they wanted to make driving more realistic they need to focus on making the cars handle like real ones instead of punishing you for pushing the limits, limits which are no longer fun.

And when the police is after me they can shoot at me but I can't do a thing except drive. Who thought that would be a good idea? Drive-bys in a GTA-style game are ESSENTIAL, period.

Just a minute ago I stole a car in front of the police. Once I got in and pulled the right trigger to get away the car just stood there. I don't know why but it was BS.

I'm glad I downloaded the demo because now I have serious doubts about buying this game. Games like this are half shooting and half driving. The driving part fails monumentally.

I have the full ver for the 360 and I do agree with some of what you are saying.. the shooting while driving to me was a great part in GTA In this one it's gonna take alot of skill to get away from the cops..good thing they are more like keystone cops than the ones in GTA.. I find driving from them is not all that hard if you have ever driven on ice, and the cars do handle alot like the real old lead sleds what we used to call them...lol I have been playing the game for a few hours and really like it for the most part, but as yyou had said there is alot of lack luster to it, I think the game is deff worth having,, but I will not pay more then 29.00 for a half of a game... what really got me ticked is that there is no multi play so to me thats only half a game. It's alot of fun just to mess with and the graphics aren't that bad for an xbox that is a few years old, I was actually surprised just like with Red Dead Redemption.. I think that RDR will be a very hard game to top as far as playability and looks.. just an all around great game, this MAFIA to me fell a bit short but maybe with some patches in the right places it could make a recovery... my 2cents worth... Peace

The game really sucks full time. the only factor of tolerence is the graphics
