I understand that some of you have a problem with my latest mod selection of HG.
I received complaints that the PC boards were not being moderated properly. I agreed with this complaint as I had been asking for help on the PC boards by our current mods for weeks. The help did not come and the PC boards got more and more littered with offtopic, unhelpful complaints and other garbage. So I asked the mods to pick a new mod to help out with the PC boards. Guess who they picked? NO ONE. I waited *2 weeks* for them to make a selection and they did not. So, if someone else was better suited for the job, they certainly didn't make it known, or else I would have promoted THAT person.
HG came to me and wanted to help when no one else was volunteering or being nominated. I desperately needed the help so I made an executive decision to make him a mod to specifically help me out with the PC boards since no one else would.
I don't know HG's back story with this person or that person or any other person on the website. All I know that he is knowledgeable about trainers and so far hasn't done anything to get himself banned.
So, if anyone has a problem with my decision, then feel free to take it up with me or the other mods, not with HG. I already sent one person packing today that didn't want to be here any more.
personally i welcome it and it definitely is an inspired choice.

Wait, isn't it website policy to not ask about how to become a moderator and how not to bother the founders or the other moderators about it?
Personally I don't even care who becomes a mod and who doesn't, I have no problem with HG, but the part I don't understand is about volunteering and such... was it ever asked of people or at least told to them that they can volunteer for a position of moderator?
I don't see peoples problem.
It's not like being a mod requires any kind of superpower. You need to know the rules and be able to enforce them on occasion. It's so amazingly difficult that, literally, anyone can do it.
If HG is willing to do what the current mods aren't, then that's great. His familiarity with trainers is only a plus, since noobs will listen to what a guy with gold stars has to say when they ignore everyone else who tries to help them.
The root of the complaint is likely "durrrr, he's only been here two years". As if being a mod is a seniority game.
The problem with the peoples is that they think this is a government. This is a business. PWizard is here to make business discussions. They don't realize that he does not have to take their opinions into consideration at all. Not even I have any official power or voice towards PWizard.
