You should have seen the beta forums.
Well over 75% of the testers were flaming EA about this game. EA didn't care. We all know what EA cares about anyways; if you didn't know - Money, Money, Money for Cr*p, Cr*p and more Cr*p. (Excuse the french). The only way these companies will listen if people refuse the buy their games.
Tiberium series ended with N.3 for all the old fans. And the Red Alert series ended with N.2. The third installment felt like you are playing with anime gfx.
Whoever considers this game "good", they are an insult to the CnC community.
Is it me, or are most of the games being released nowadays really lame? Haven't found a good game since last June.
Games are either too dumbed down, copies of other games, horrible console ports or incomplete/hurried trash which game companies expect you to pay for the content that was supposed to be shipped with the game via DLC's (Project $10).

The only others with hope for are Thief4, DeusEx3 (HP regeneration.. Sigh!), Diablo3 and Starcraft2 (Wierd colours again!)
Played the Sc2 beta, all I have to say is Meh.. this aint Starcraft but animecraft :S
You know so far I am very disappointed, pretty much like everyone else. Thank god for the Trainer, now I can get through the game and be done with it. Since every game bought in the last 2 years has been a bummer, I am worried about Diablo III and Starcraft II. I am scared of what I am going to get. I canceled my pre-orders, I am going to wait for the review, so I don't waste money like I did with C&C4.
This C&C was a very big disappointment. If I had known what the new format was I would have canceled my order. Thins that suck in this game
1. No Base Building (Ripped-off the idea from Dawn of War [Thanks for the correction DJAlucard])
2. No Harvesting (You Pick up floating Tiberium)
3. Lousy Unit Designs (Makes you wonder if EA just stole the ideas from 5yr olds)
4. Bad Acting (B or C list actors compared to the ones in C&C 2 & 3)
5. Only 7 Single Player Campaigns (EA focused on Multi Player)
6. You need to be online all the time when playing (Stole the idea from Ubisoft)
Conclusion
Dont buy the game. If you did either sell it to some other Sap or Burn it and forget all about C&C4 and let the story end with C&C 3.
For EA
I recommend that EA fire the entire staff who worked on C&C 4.

Agee to the whole thing. Absolute crap.
Even at 1080x1920, it looks like legoland and I had already so many bad worries about this I waited until my friend bought it and drank a sixpack of Stella as I laughed at his horror of what he'd done to himself getting the digital deluxe d/l.
I also really do not understand why EA did not care about their play tester's reaction? Or were the play testers payed an amount just to say that the game was good enough. This also proves how lazy some developers are, those who do not want to change the game completely because it is hard work. Now their hard work has payed off...
No its not developer fault but ITS OUR OWN FAULT actually... we want to pay for many many UNFINISHED BUGGY GLITCHES GAME for nothing ! That's why many many game dev & publisher started to think that WITHOUT THEM, THERE IS NO GAME !
That's why this case is happened !
Why bothering to make a superb revolutionary game if with JUST GRAPHIC ABUSING & SOME PERKS, all of us just gladly want to bought it !
All they do just copying some gameplay from other game then try to implemented it with big franchise...
One thing for sure... the ending ARE TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE since its too lame + sucks !
