ok what is the trick to getting bugs out of the tree, i'm not sure exactly when to strike the tree so i can get, either a lot of bugs, or rare bugs. PLease help

There r 3 types of hammers to use on the tree: the white hammer, the black hammer and the gold hammer. the white is the easiest to time since it is the slowest, however it gives bugs of less rarity. The gold is the hardest to time since it is the fastest, and it gives bugs of high rarity. The black is medium speed and rarity. To get better results u have to press the button as the small light on your character gets bigger, but dont wait too long u might miss it.
If winning don't matter then why do they keep the scores
