okay i just played Evil Genius for weeks but it has a bug which sometimes if you played it and exit and played it again your computer sudden shutdown and restart so i download the latest patch and patch my game to 1.01 but the debug cheat like enabling the console "CTRL+D" and pressing "~" is not working with latest patch?! i also did some other cheat like "CTRL+ALT+****+D" and "~" still nothing but the "Humanzee" cheats are working ..

That is because the patch over-wrote the two files that work with the debug mode. You just need to re-apply the two files, after you patch, and it will work like a charm. With it, you can type things like "add 10 100" which will add 10 worker minions. You can get any type of minion you like by using the correct number. There are plenty more cheats in the debug mode as well.

Oops, forgot to mention, my Evil Genius is via Steam. So I'm not sure if I can do it

I know this post is old, but here is how i got chetas to work with steam-version:

1. Go to (your install folder)/DynamicResources/Config
2. open Default.ksb (I used notepad++, standard windows notepad should work)
3. Add "ToggleDebugCommands: Ctrl+D" at the end
4. Save file and start game
5. with Numlock disabled press Ctrl+D. you should now be able to open console. For me (Germany) it was "^", on US-Keyboard it should be "~".
6. Use Commands:
help (Show all commands)
add # X (add X minions of type #, see below)
money X (add X amount of money)

101 - Marksman
102 - Valet
103 - Technician
104 - Guard
105 - Biochemist
106 - Scientist
107 - Spin Doctor
108 - Mercenary
109 - Diplomat
110 - Playboy
111 - Martial Artist
112 - Quantum Physicist
