the magazine and the barrel on the fastfiring SMG get removed on saving, as well as the material on the burning SMG.
i will see what happens when i pick up the game tomorrow.
but non the less, those weapons rock big time! =)
thanks again for posting them!
I'm always happy to share, I want to proliferate knowledge, not horde it. It's nowhere near as cool when only I know about it, I like others to see how slick something is.
If you liked the super-SMG, try the "Fire Hose" I updated my last post with, it makes the SMG look like a pop-gun!
Knightpress, question for you. In your editing, have you noticed how quality seems to work exactly?
From my own experience, I've seen it actually lower the quality of the weapon, or it seemed to have anyway. I could have accidentally edited more than just the quality that time.
I guess overall what I'm asking is, how would one make the higher end game weapons? So far, the weapon lvls we've seen around here seem to stay within the 10-30 lvl range, give or take, yet you can't just up the quality to 3 or 4 to raise the lvl cap and thus making the weapon better.
Any ideas? Would it be because the later weapons use completely different pieces?
Quality is based on a level range, and does indeed effect stats.
The levels are 0-5, are intended to cover "level spans" like 1-10 for quality 0, and equate the stats and requirements as such.
Now, keep in mind, different weapons, combinations, and so forth -can- vary the level requirement of a gun higher or lower depending upon how powerful it is.
Basically, if you're lv50, you shouldn't be tinkering with anything less than a Quality 5 as it's not "everything it could be".
Another thing you can always do of course is increase the quality a notch as you out-grow it and see if it's still capable of towing the line. Some things will simply be eclipsed at some point, other things may remain awesome as you continue onward and upward with the quality in step.
If you're in your 20's, you're going to be using predominantly high quality 1's and quality 2's for the very best you are allowed to use at your level. All told, if you take your current level, and drop the last digit (take level 45, drop the 5 on the end) that's a safe guess for what quality of weapon you should be in the GENERAL RANGE of. These aren't hard-and-fast rules mind you, as again the level range can and does vary.
