You have to get out of the playpen and then walk around, eventually your father will come back.

Okay guys, first problem fixed, now another problem. When I am installing Fallout 3, I had to reinstall for the game to progress, it says it can't extract the file sound.bsa or something. There is abort, ignore and retry. I retried over and over but same problem, so I clicked ignore. Then now the game doesn't have sound effects, radio, nothing. Only voices. The first installation didn't have this problem, but now when I reinstall it always happens. I tried twice, same problem...

Xanorak - sounds like the original sound files may not have been deleted, or the audio folders are still there from the previous installation. If you still have an uninstall option, use that and then check that the program folder is completely gone from /program files. If not, highlight the folder, hold SHIFT and press Del - windows will ask if you want to permanently delete the folder etc. Click YES.

Now try the install again. If it fails again, your disc may be dirty or scratched.

I'm pretty sure that everything has been deleted, and could someone send me the sound.bsa file? Should be in the Data folder.
    Thanks...

It's okay... I guess I'll play the game without... any...sound effects...

No gunshot sounds, no baby sounds, no vault door opening sound...

Have you tried to reinstall the game into a different folder? Probably that might solve the problem.
