I know we have some real estate tycoons out there, i felt like opening this thread for a place for people who have been playing for some time to give advice to new players, tips on how to make more money off property, what properties to consider buying,

Personally i invest in alot of good furniture for the homes im renting out particularly and on several occasions that alone has doubled or even tripled the base value of a house alone, then for you evil bastards out there you can place a trophy in to raise the selling price, then after you've sold the house, 'liberate' them of said trophy. Or if your a real evil person, kill the owners of the property til' the price drops real low and buy it back ( though this may or may not effect the base value of the home, im a goody too-shoes so i wouldnt know )

I started off small on properties, started with stalls in bowerstone market and then most of the gypsy camp wagons then smaller houses, but some of the best buildings funds wise are the weapons shops, potion shops, book shops and taverns, as they can turn a profit of anywhere from 200-700 every 5 minutes

i saw that post and thats why i set this thread, in case someone just wanted tips on getting started and not being forced to turn their game off, set the clock to 2005, restart game, turn game off, reset clock, rinse, repeat. Plus while that make alot of gold once you have a fair amount of property, its not much getting started

While not the fastest way of making 'lots' of money I found myself preferring the following (non-exploiting method) for the consistency of money you get.

Do the blacksmith gig for a while, get enough cash together to buy a number of the smaller stores (or all stands, maybe a house it doesn't really matter) so you have some regular cashflow going. What's left I spend on experience potions so I can crank my basic abilities up a bit.

Go adventuring, and keep getting enough money so you can buy health potions. Once you find the bartender job do that to earn enough to buy the bowerstone bar and then it's simply a matter of waiting and investing in the larger stores.

I prefer this way because it doesn't really require a lengthy amount of time spent making money but instead you split the money making up in a much more sensible fashion that doesn't require hours upon hours of slaving away doing the dull jobs
