Trial and error can help with quest kills. I made the mistake of giving myself the Aard sign before I went to the stone in the first quest - kills it because Triss won't speak with you to progress. So it's not only quest items which can cause you grief. Remember rule number one - save early, save often. Rule number two is - don't overwrite your saves until you know you don't need them!

    But the editor is good!

it took me some time, but i finally found out, that vista doesn't have the javaw.exe in its system32-folder.
and since vista's search capabilities are rubbish, it took me even longer to find it.

    i found it there: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe
and i got it to work with this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx256m -jar TWEditor.jar

it could be more user-friendly, but it works, and that's what counts! =)
its so fast it can do an infinite loop in thirty seconds!! =)

Not sure if anyone used this before, but it works perfectly with the new enhanced edition too. You can give yourself any item in the game, except for weaps and armor. As well as modify your stats, you can even give yourself all the magic abilities.

hallo rcboothman can i ask you something, can you give me a better instruction on the TWEditor, because the instruction with it is very unclear?? so of you are willing can you please give me a easy and understandable instruction.

    many thanks Medion

I had the same problem, here is what I did.
-right click on your shortcut then select properties
    -click on the shortcut tab

    In the target: put
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -DTW.language=3 -jar -Xmx256m -jar TWEditor.jar

    Then under the start in:
-put the location of where you placed the editor file.

    For me it was
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\the witcher enhanced edition"

    hope this helps

It should not be that hard. What you guys are fussing about javaw.exe, that is the Java Virtual Machine; just install the Java Runtime Environment to get it working. This .jar file is a self executable java file, just double click it.
