As I understand, the Direct2Drive version is just like the CD/DVD version. Why doesn't the trainer work with it?

try using a no-cd fix if one is available. the digital download versions are slightly different in memory locations.

No dice. I found a no-cd fix on Megagames but it didn't help with any version of the trainer. oh well, I'll just stick to cheats.
