There are some pretty nifty cheats in there. Now just need to find the way to start the game in debug mode

these POKE cheats seem to be info for trainer creators I think. to say something about the debug mode. if spore is well developed we will never be able to activate the debug mode in our versions. but if maxis somehow intended us to use the debug mode (they are nice guys! ) or were lazy or are using another build system we maybe have a chance.. in one of the config files i found a line if!(cmp("Debug",$Build)) or so.. so actually we "only" need to change this $Build-Variable and we have a debug version.. now we only need to find it

Anyone had luck with accessing the debug mode, yet?

Heh, actually the POKE commands on that site were taken from another website that is talking about a different game called spore from WAY back in the day that ran on a Commodore 64.
I tried changing the exe build information from Shipping to Debug to see if thats what it was referring to and tested if it worked by trying some of the commands he posted but nothing worked.

no the actual build information is normally compiled in the game exe. so it should be hard to change (without a crack or something)

I'm aware, and thats what I did, and no visible change.
