    I'm willing to do it... I just dunno bout my mom. XD
    As long as there's enough light, like flashlight or sunshine, and there's a book in my hand, I do without electricity for an hour. ^^

    I'll be contributing to save the society's environment. Seriously, we need to experience what it's like without electricity, people these days aren't used to doing things manually.

    I seriously need electricity Y___Y I run 101% on it ... time stops for me when the power is down :O

    Screw global warming ... I'm not gona die because of that -___-, more pressing matters are at hand

    are u really considering that switching off your light will trigger some savior/miracle/event and suddenly the ppl will stop devastating the world? ... You will NOT make a single frak'n difference it's not that simple to change mankind

    At the end of the day you WILL turn on your pc and you WILL turn on your lights and you WILL use electricity at the same rate as you have been doing until that event and non of what has happened will make a difference!

    Don't worry about electricity ... there will always be electricity its the greatest thing since the wheel and there are many forms to obtain it (It's impossible to remove electricity from human existence) ...

    Furthermore electricity is not the main reason of pollution >.< where the hell did they get that idea ? Some ppl just don't have it.

    @Al-pucino:
    I agree with what you just said, it would be interesting to do things "manually" (more or less, the idea is to see how it is to live without modern accommodations ) but frankly you can't do that in 1h or inside your house ... I think ill go get stranded on an island

    PS: However ... trying never killed anybody ... ( unless they cut power/reserve power from hospitals, that be a problem )

    Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming.

    The message will be don't have lots of people turn on the lights at the same time cos that'll cause a power outtage! This is a simple thing they don't tell you.
    Trust is a fragile thing. Once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Those we're closest to can betray us,and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.

    electricity is becoming more of a cheap necessity rather than a luxurious one... i mean, i wouldn't mind living off candles for a week or so

    It's not fun when you can't find a working ATM
