Darkish, the glitches were skillful, just because you couldn't do them doesn't mean they were crap. Using them properly was difficult, sweep-sniping was difficult, but also loads of fun once mastered. Sword is bah in Halo 3 too.
Oh, and by combos I also meant weapon combos, things like flashing a sword at the last minute in a firefight were cool. The ages it takes to change a weapon now sucks. New grenades are boring, flamethrower is pointless and annoying, grenade throwing seems to ignore conventional halo physics, the game lags more, more idiots, all of those mean less fun.

I agree with ES some things in Halo 3 are just dumb. I dont like some of the additions but i still like the game. But i think i might like CoD4 Better.
*hopes no one gets mad at him*

Who says I couldn't do them? Everything that you liked in Halo 2 that was changed in Halo 3 are classified as noob-tactics...except sweep sniping I suppose.
Noob combo, sword hogging (can't use the correct word for that I think), BXB, BXR, BXXB, super jumps, all of them.
For me I'm glad the sword lunge was shortened and the time to switch to it was lengthened. I'm also glad that the noob combo is no more, and that are are no more button glitches and super jumps. All of that makes it a much more balanced game.
Granted if all you do is play FFA custom games like you do with your friends, then I suppose that all of the above is better assuming everyone knows how to do it properly.
But for someone like me who actually plays matchmaking, all of the above has been taken out for the better.
The grenades are pretty much the same. The frag has a larger splash damage, therefore it doesn't do as much damage as would a plasma if you were real close to it. And the Spike grenade shoots upwards if it is stuck to the ground, that's why you should use that grenade to stick people or if you know they are coming around a corner.
Also, the flamethrower is only featured on one MM map, Construct.
More people = more lag, that's a given. Halo 2 probably has very little lag now because of the low population.
And more people = more idiots, just deal with it or play ranked and not social.
So yeah, Halo 2 is better now when it comes to your situation I suppose, playing FFA matches with friends who also know all the glitches or everything, but that doesn't mean that Halo 3 is fun for FFA matches.
La-mao!
Oh god... I really hope this doesn't catch on... >_>
Oh and "ownt" is any better?
