Trial and error...you'll get it eventually.

If you seem like you're dying too many times to one spot...use different weapons next time or take it slower next time.

There are four things that will make this mission really easy:

1 - GO SLOW, I can't stress this enough, you gotta go really slow and destroy the flood bodies before moving on so they don't come back to life, melee them to destroy them

2 - Find the Flamethrowers, there are at least three flamethrowers that are really effective on flood but only if you go slow because the flood don't just die instantly, the run around and attack you even when on fire, then fall and die

3 - Lure the Flood, Let some flood see you then back around a corner and kill them as they come to you

4 - Horde weapons, when you get to the room where the skull is, keep swapping weapons and dropping them into the hole that goes to that room. Make sure you get the rocket launcher and the brute shot and several energy swords and plasma rifles. Use the rockets and brute shots on the ranged forms that shoot from the walls, use every single energy sword you find and use every carbine rifle also

I beat that level so easily by doing that, some would say the weapon thing is going to far but I wasn't screwing around so I took it as far as I could to guarantee winning easily.

my suggestion for weapons would be

brute shot
shotgun/rocket launcher

dont switch the brute shot an energy sword brute shot is better cuz the melee is as strong as energy sword melee and dont rush into things..and stay up high and you should be fine but if u need more help either play co-op mode or look up a video on youtube explaining how to beat the level
