i can get purple wraiths but not orange ones

No. Theyre real, just beat the top off, and shoot the guy inside until hes dead, and youll be able to drive it. Its pretty helpful on "The Covenant."

And thats the problem when you beat it, it blows up.

Just beat the top off. If you bash it too many times, itll blow up. When the top comes off, shoot the guy inside. Hell fall out, and you can take it.

The only time the top comes off for me is when it blows up. Im telling you its not possible for me.

*sigh* It's 100% possible on most of the AA wraiths, but some of them you really can't. Here's how:

1. Jump on the top of the Wraith, not boarding, actually jumping onto it.

2. Note, you need a headshot capable weapon (Battle rifle/Carbine/Sniper Rifle)

3. Melee just the top door off.

4. Crouch over him and move around until the message "Press RB to board" disappears.

5. While holding down RB, shoot the driver until he dies, if done correctly, the instant he dies, you'll hop in and enjoy the sweet power of automatic fuel gun rounds.

if u have the guide for Halo 3, it says that its impossible to control an AA Wraith. i guess the guys at Bungie couldn't beat what they created.
