I noticed that in Portal, you can see your character as a girl. But is it possible to see what the boy model looks like?

There is none. The reasoning behind the PC playing Portal as Chell is story-based, the same as you play as male MIT PhD graduate Gordon Freeman in the Half-Life games. Pretty much every FPS has a preset lead character (although arguably Portal isn't a FPS, strictly speaking, it is based on shooter mechanics).
