"U must hook onto wifi and when u get off u will get ur friend code."

In better grammar, " You must log onto Wi-Fi, then log off, and you will be able to view your friend code".

i dont have any friends to log on to wifi. can i get my fc without doing that?

You don't need any friends to log onto WiFi.. Once you log onto wifi w/ the DS your using you can't log on with any other DS.. You must 1st when the game is at the Start Menu you must ckick on Nintendo WiFi Connections to set-up the internet connection.. So you can be newhere in the world as long as you can pick up a signal you can long on to WiFi(ex. @ your local mall, Buger King, Motels, etc.).
Next you start your game. Talk to the lady (1st lady to your right) She'll enable your Pal Pad(Found in Key Items, in your Bag)
Next log onto wifi To obtain your 12 digit WiFi exchangeable #.
Next log off Go to your pal pad.
As I said b4 it should Say:
CHECK ROSTER<-- See who you have registerd and other records
REGISTER FRIEND CODE<-- Register a Friend Code so you can Trade/Battle/Voice Chat or both
(YOUR NAME) CODE <-- Your Friend Code

Exchange Friend Codes with each other to register so you know who each other are... Your Done.

I don't know, I went to my friend's house and logged onto Wi-Fi there, but if you don't even have Wi-Fi, you don't really need to know your friend code.

i went to a mall and it connected to the wifi there. too bad the signal wasnt so good. im gonna try another mall tommorrow
