If the Plasma Grenade goes off at the base of the feet it gives an instant kill! It doesn't have to be the feet as it will most likely give an instant kill nomatter where it is on the body (I know this from experience of playing)!

MC stands for Master Chief, or his real rank, Master Chief petty officer, the number you are refurring to is 117 ( Spartan 117) MC's first name is John.
As for his teammates im not sure,

The person in this list who is only rumored and not confirmed is Sergeant Avery Johnson and his rank is Sergeant Major
