I just finished it...after playing it I can safely say it's the best looking game I've ever played so far (and that's saying a lot). The visuals were stunning...now I see why so many praised it.

But visuals aside not all its specs were ideal, the game was riddled with glitches and at times had 'really pointless' quests. The missing ground glitch being the most annoying, and (for example) the vampire quest was interesting at first but after awhile of running around it really starts to get old, frustrating, and pointless (especially frying in the sunlight)

The games main faults is there was too much running around, and I know it's an RPG and their shooting for multiple play throughs but the map and game as a whole I felt were much to big and long...it becomes almost boring after awhile. (at least that's how I felt)

But despite the faults and after tying everything together the game was really great as a whole, I'm not really into the whole medieval thing with swords, spells, and wizardry, plus the story was a little too far fetched fantasy for my tastes. In my opinion it's not the best RPG on the market but right at the top (I'm factoring in everything here as I say this).

In the end I'm glad I tried it to see what was all the hype about...but I'll likely steer clear of the Elder Scrolls franchise in the future

it would easily run five seasons as a tv series counting the guilds plus all the free form quests the main quest could be a movie and probally win more awards than the aviator i wou love to see an oblivion show or movie

@jackal If you are refurring to running from town to town you could of just bought up your map and fast traveled. as for the glitching, i agree there were way too many glitches in the game, some good (for example the dorien glitch) and some bad (example the vampire qure quest).

But if you are playing on PC you could of downloaded a patch which wiped most if not all the glitches in the game, as for xbox, XBL wipes them automatically.

The game is huge, with a nice 500 hours at least if you get in to it of game time, with lots of weapons armour and people to meet and find. And i would have to agree it will be in the top RPG catagory this year and maybe even next yoear, we will have to see.

True, it should be at the top...at least of all the recent RPG's. And I did use the map to get around but I was trying to experience the entire game as a whole (aside from the main quest) and I kept running into mine after mine, fortress after fortress, and temple after temple...most times nothing really good was inside anyhow.

One thing I did love about the game is the being able to buy and ride your own horse. Sometimes I'd just ride one for the hell of it in third person
