S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Message Board  

Seriously, I need a new computer game. I have gotten really tired of Unreal Tournamen '04. So, here I am, asking for you guys' advice. Is S.T.A.L.K.E.R worth the buy? Is there a better game, in the same genre, that I should buy instead? Just give me your thoughts on the game, and do not spoil ANYTHING.

It's a fps with an rpg twist, great game, but I can't say more without divulging the game's info...

This game has it's ambience. You need to play it to feel it.

Even when you're tired of sound/textures there are tons of mods altering them (not cheat mods).

I have found this game to be the best yet,& I do play lots of other games but S.T.A.L.K.E.R just reels you in to play over & over. Mods do help change the environment & the way it plays.
