S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Message Board  

im having a bit of a problem with the trainer.
everytime i try one of the cheats it says "activated" and "deactivated" but it doesnt work.
so any ideas on what im doing wrong?

what are FRAPS?
im pretty well computer illiterate,
and i suck at this stuff.
and with the different version thing...
i havent downloaded or installed anything to the game except this trainer.
i bought it from circuit city legally,
i havent downloaded a game "fix" yet, cause i really want to do what i can without downloading anything else if possible.
i have a basic keyboard.
my numpad has deff been on and there are no other controls mapped to the numpad.
ive started to trainer before and after launching the game.
i have windows XP.
i downloaded it to the same folder the game is in.
and ive read the readme several times and doing it right.
so im guessing its the FRAPS what ever those are.
or that "fix".



sooooooo what are FRAPS?

fraps is a certain program gamers use to record in game play.and you can save it as a video file and play the video to show your friends and stuff.it's basically a video recording program for gamers.this way you start fraps then start your game and you hit a specific button and record a video as your playing the game

which fix do i need to download?

Try the no-cd fix for 1.0003 which can be downloaded from sites such as gameburnworld . com and megagames . com

is there anything i could lose like saved games by downloading this?
do i need to back up any files?
